Project ‘Georgian minority women as integration ambassadors’: Study visit to Germany

From 13 – 20 May 2024, 10 ethnic Armenian, Azerbaijani and Georgian project participants living in Georgia visited Berlin.
Including the two project leaders, the group consisted of 4 teachers, 4 activists and 4 journalists. The participants got to know the work and best practices of German and international educational institutions, organisations, media houses and meeting places live on site. Once again this year, the visitors took every opportunity to ask their hosts numerous questions. The various interlocutors appreciated the lively exchange and interest of the women from Georgia focused on independent reporting, independent financing of media companies and educational institutions, the German education system, educational opportunities and participation for girls and women, gender equality and the implementation of human rights.

The project ‘Georgian Minority Women as Integration Ambassadors’ (duration: 1.08.2023 – 31.07.2024) was implemented by the NGO Development and Engagement Platform DEP based in Tbilisi in partnership with the Rönne Foundation and funded by the Federal Foreign Office as part of the Eastern Partnership Programme.
